Napoléon Bonaparte

An army marches on its stomach.
Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.
History is a set of lies agreed upon.
A leader is a dealer in hope.
Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich.
Victory belongs to the most persevering.
Ability is nothing without opportunity.
What is history but a fable agreed upon?
Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever.
Imagination rules the world.
Everyone is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody.

Mark Twain

Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option.
The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.
Always acknowledge fault frankly. This will throw those in authority off quard and give you an opportunity to make a choice.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anthing.
The truth must be served like a coat, and not thrown in the face like a wet towel.
The man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read.
Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.
The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don't want, drink what you don't like, and do what you'd rather not.

Benjamin Franklin

Never ruin an apology with an excuse.
Whatever is begun in anger, ends in shame.
By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.
You may delay, but time will not.
An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.
He that lies down with dogs, shall rise up with fleas.
Fatigue is the best pillow.
He that can have patience can have what he will.
Having been poor is no shame, but being ashamed of it, is.
I didn't fail the test, I just found 100 ways to do it wrong.
Well done is better than well said.
Many people die at twenty-five and aren't buried until they are seventy-five.
Life biggest tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

Pride and Prejudice

"Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us."

War and Peace

"There is nothing stronger than those two: patience and time."
"When in doubt, my dear fellow, do nothing."
